What is the maximum speed for DIABLO™ SUPERCORSA V4?
DIABLO™ SUPERCORSA V4 SP will be available in speed index (W) for most of the sizes and in speed index W for the smaller sizes (110/70 17, 140/70 17, 150/60 17), to match the requirements set by the motorcycle makers for road circulation, as indicated in the motorcycle usage manual.
The speed index is based on indoor tests in which the tyre is run at 10 km/h steps, in 10 minute increments, until the required speed has been met. To receive its rating it must demonstrate that it can sustain a particular speed for a prolonged period of time, when tested with simulated loads. The W speed index indicates a maximum speed of 270 km/h, while the (W) speed index means that there is no specific speed limit (> 270 km/h).
On the racetrack, a tyre speed index has no meaning because the conditions are completely different from those of the indoor test required for the speed index marking. DIABLO™ SUPERCORSA V4 SC has been specifically developed for the racetrack and the V speed index should thus be disregarded.
